I'm proud of u sis

Today, I'm posting from Help with my laptop!! Kinda kewl haha.. I'm at the 4th National English Debate Competition aka "Tan Sri Datuk Paduka Dr Hajjah Saleha Debate Cup 2006" among high skewls in Malaysia and my sis, Renee Ewe who is representing Convent Bkt Nanas is in the Semi-finals! Their skewl came up against SMK DJ.. Convent Bkt Nanas is a prestigious skewl in KL and has had and still has the best debate teams around Malaysia. My sis among the younger participants! Omg la.. I'm really fproud of her. She has been the undisputed top student in her younger days and STILL is the undisputed top student in her school and everyone is vying to beat this girl! And hell no! I know best that she isn't a NERD .. She's active in sports and societies, PLUS she is a ver ygood athlete( like me before). Convent Bkt Nanas has never really progressed in this competition before but have emerged as champions on numerous occasions in other debate competitions. In other words, they had good debate teams before and my sis and her teammates are making school history by progressing well in this competition. So its safe to say my sis n her teammates walk around with an air of respect which intimidates other schools.. *salutes*

Anywhoz, their plenty of nerds here. I feel like giving them a wedgie or smth hHAhahaAha...

I watched the semis btwn Convent Bkt Nanas and SMK DJ. My sis was the first speaker and she blew me away! I mean I joke and quarrel and everything under the sun with my sis, but the way she presented her speech was awesome!! Her team had the points and performance wise were great! I watched the Law debate society in my faculty and thought they were good BUT these kids are even BETTER! It was really one sided to everyone and the opposition team (my sis and her teammates were govt) were really confused and started talking rubbish. My sis and her teammates clearly had a good frame of arguments thus making them obvious winners and the opposition were starting to talk rubbish and trying to confuse the judges... My sis did the rebuttal and she clearly set out their points and the opposition were crushed! But somehow the adjudicators came up with a 2 to 1 decision to the Opposition! The whole room was shocked!! The teacher incharge of St Michaels, another good debate team was shocked too cuz it seemed obvious Convent Bkt Nanas were the better team who were more organised, had more matter and better ideas plus produced a good performance! HOW SO ? The top adjudicator in South East Asia said my sis's team had superb arguments which were addressed by my Sis( he was the one adjudicator who voted for my sis's skewl n thinks my sis is good! WOW), the first speaker but her arguments weren't sustainted by the 2nd n 3rd speakers... So oh well! My sis was announced as the Best Speaker!

DAMMIT! Im bloody proud of her... =P She will be getting 1000 bucks plus some Mp3 player and lord noes wat else for reaching the semis and 500 for the best speaker award I think!
